It's July and the sun has finally come to stay in PDX. This month we'll be celebrating the change by exploring a somewhat-unconventional topic: Headless Drupal.
You might be asking "what the heck is headless drupal?" Lucky for us, Jay Mallison (@jay_mallison) and Mike Katsufrakis (@pheriannath) from Live Axle will tell us all about their adventures in creating a #NearlyHeadlessDrupal site where they are decoupling Drupal's excellent content management abilities from it's less-than-ideal (slow to evolve) frontend utilizing JSON output and Angular.js.
Not only is Live Axle spreading the knowledge, this month they are spreading the love and sponsoring pizza. We'll have social half-hour starting at 6pm for pizza and frosty beers and get on with the presentation right around 6:30pm. Afterwards, we'll make our way to the Lucky Lab on NW 19th & Quimby for the usual shenanigans.
