As luck would have it, Matthew Broderick and Godzilla will be joining us on that same day!!!!!

I will be grabbing a bite at Crown Burgers before the show at 5:30MT. It looks like the kind of place one MUST visit wen visiting SLC Utah! [Am I Right?] Join me there and we can talk some Drupal before the show!
RIFFTRAX formed out of the wildly popular Mystery Science Theater 3000MST3K show were comedians talked over the showing of really bad B-Movies and made fun of [or RIFFED on] them. The MST3K folks went through all the old public domain and easy licensed films but they wanted to RIFF on Twilight and Avatar and the Marvel movies. To do this, they started recording their RIFFs on MP3 and selling them on their DRUPAL website! :-)
On thursday, RIFFTRAX will be LIVE RIFFING the 1995 Matthew Broderick GODZILLA file.
They will be doing this LIVE in front of a Nashville TN Audience and telecast across North America to select screens.
Since the Earth is SO HUGE, Utah watchers are actually on a 2hr tape-delay. :-( But everything joke we hear, as they RIFF throughout the movie, will have been uttered live on stage in Nashville only 2hr earlier.
I have seen the RIFFTRAX LIVE productions of Sharknado [2months ago] and Sanata Clause Conquers the Martians [Dec of 2012]
These are ridiculously FUN events and I encourage you all to join me! :-)

So....
The super-dee-duper late [and crazy expensive] cab got me to Crown Burger so late that I missed Tyler!
DRATZ!
I gobbled down a quick burger and walked across the street to Century 16 to hang out with a really big lizard. OMG the film was horrible! Which is to say that the RiffTrax guys gave it a thorough roasting! Remember, the whole goal of this Fathom Events presentation was to show a popular film and have three comedians talk over the whole movie with a running commentary making fun of it and pointing out inconsistencies, bad acting, etc.
To that end... the evening was a BLAST!
This was my first time in SLC and it was great! I'm told that next year just might be during Ski Season, and that I won't see anything green due to the pervasive snow cover! Sounds good to me! I don't ski but I could do without the higher heat that you guys enjoy in the summer! Indianapolis has been going through a cold spell this summer.
