Hi John

Hellooooo WNYDU's :)

I am planning on joining tomorrow and would like to share some exciting updates with the trydrupal8.com platform we have been working on over the past several months.

Looking forward to chatting with others about any other Drupal related awesomeness.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks Michael!

Whoa, and I was thinking about that project only yesterday. (Cue the Twilight Zone theme. . . .)

Great chatting with everyone

Great chatting with everyone last night. Really enjoy these :)

John-
I spoke with Nick and we can put together a module talk for next months meet up. Lets discuss over the next week or so.

Also I wanted to ask if the WNYDUG is on meetup.com? I checked but didn't see anything. We have our Long Island group on both GDO and Meet Up and are finding meet up is doing a nice job attracting new members and the engagement there seems to be better. Might be worth a look :)

Thanks, Mike! . . .

Yes, instituting a heads-up on which modules could be featured would be a real boon. Don't forget, there is a voting feature in the g.d.o pages here, so feel free to scheme up voting if that helps you at all.

As for Meetup.com, that sounds like a great idea. We used to be on it, in fact. Problem was, since we met midway between Buffalo and Rochester for our brick-and-mortar meetings, the geographical radius for our events fell just short of either city and spent months before discovering that flaw. I'm not sure if they have fixed it, and it would be great if they did!

If you have any other insights or advice, please share. And note that we still intend to have a September camp out this way, in conjunction with a SUNY college that has gone Drupal . . . stay tuned.
