I'm thinking it would be excellent to have a distributed group library. I have a number of Drupal / general design and development books that I'd be happy to lend out, and we'll soon be getting an influx of additional publications from various publishers who will be supporting our group, so we should share when we can.
To add your book to the library:
- If you're not a regular attendee to the meetings, pass any books you want to add to the library to someone who is (like chrisshattuck)
- List the books that you have that you would be willing to lend out below under "Available books" along with a link to your contact page (i.e. http://groups.drupal.org/user/[your user id]/contact
- When you lend a book to someone, replace the contact link next to the book title with a link to the person who now has the book. Now the next person who wants to borrow it will contact that person.
- Consider printing these instructions and adding it to your book
To borrow a book:
- Contact the person who currently has the book by clicking the link next to the book. Let them know you want to borrow it and they'll bring it to the next meeting.
- Consider giving them a courtesy ping the day before the meeting as a reminder.
