Representing Asia at Drupal Association At-large Board Elections

A few weeks back Drupal Association announced the Elections for it’s Director-At-Large position. The At-large Director position is specifically designed to ensure community representation on the Drupal Association board. I strongly feel there should be a representation from Asia. Drupal Asian communities have seen tremendous growth in recent years, be it adopting Drupal by Enterprises, conducting successful Drupal Camps, Organizing Training Days, Conducting Code Sprints or taking initiatives to make Drupal community flourish. DrupalCon Asia is a living example of this of this success, Credit goes to regional community leads and active members. It is their vision, initiatives and leadership that is driving to strengthen the Drupal Asian community.

I feel we have come a long way and there is still a lot to accomplish. With this in mind, i have taken an initiative to represent Asia at Drupal Association. I am contesting for board election on behalf of all great Drupalers and community leads from Asia. Frankly, writing up my nomination was a little uncomfortable as i feel there are other community leaders who have played a very significant role in building great Drupal community in Asia. By contesting in this election, i am taking an initiative to work together with the Drupal communities from different regions, take their initiatives and actions to the Global Drupal space. I am sure together we can take Drupal to a new height. Through this forum i am reaching out to all Drupalers and community leads in Asia to seek their support .

Who can vote?

Anyone with an account on Drupal.org (D.O)and created that account before 1 March is eligible to vote. They first need to use their D.O login details to login tohttps://association.drupal.org/user to be added to the electoral roll, and then they will be able to vote.
