At this point, Drupal needs mentors. Please contact me directly if interested in mentoring a few tasks or many tasks over next few months. We need all the help we can find. Tasks for GCI are meant to be easier for students ages 13-17. Amount of effort to mentor a few tasks is actually easy and enjoyable.
Not interested in mentoring, but have tasks for students? Do you want someone to write/test patches or create video tutorials for your module? Ping me for access to our task spreadsheet and add as many tasks as you want.

GCI 2016 Starts Today
Google Code-In 2016 officially started about 3 hours ago. Within a few hours Drupal already has 14 students actively working on tasks. Still plenty of time to sign up as a mentor and/or add new task ideas.

Hi,
I am interested in mentoring the students for Google Code-In. I have had been leading organizations and conducting programs in schools for past 6 months to promote open source learning and contribution in schools and encouraging them to be a part of things like Google Code-In.
I would surely like to be a part of Drupal to mentor the students and helping them to introduce to open source world.

Drupal achievements are endless. As Dries Buytaert says in his website, Drupal launched when less than 7 percent of the world's population had internet access and Chrome, Firefox, and Safari didn't exist yet. Drupal is the best project ever and i am sure the achievements of this great project are limitless.
