Ever wanted to build your own web application? Drupal 8's new architecture has made huge strides in allowing us to make the application development process much simpler and easier to work with. In this presentation, Trent will show you how you can use Drupal 8 to power your own web application by leveraging Drupal's native tools, as well go into what Ember.js can do to make the front-end development perform optimally with your new application.

This presentation is for all looking to build and use an API to power your web application. Trent will share with you some of the experiences, challenges, and wins, of using Drupal 8 as an API. Trent will also showcase an application that was developed for the Telus World of Science, targeted at 8-13 year olds, and how to think of how to leverage Drupal for more than just the web. Come join the conversation!
