Freelancing Discussion at Buckley's
Right after the SEADUG meeting on 2/15/2018, I plan to lead an informal Freelancing discussion at Buckley's and everyone is welcome to participate. This is to discuss the business side of freelancing such as registering with Washington State, setting up the financial books, and filing taxes and reports with WA State and the IRS.
I'll share my experience setting up an LLC and my tips as a former Accountant. We can also discuss how the new Tax Reform affects Freelancers for 2018 and forward. Please let me know if you're interested to join me for this discussion.
You're all still welcome to join us at Buckley's after SEADUG as usual, of course, even if you're not interested in the freelancing discussion.

Join us tonight for our monthly SeaDUG meeting. We'll be discussing topics from the PNW Drupal Summit, including Docker, configuration, Twig, SEO, Particle, Git, performance, analytics, and other topics from the many fantastic sessions. We'll also talk about preliminary planning for PNW Drupal Summit 2019, which will be held next year in Seattle.

Is there any way to record the meeting and share the information Krichelle presents so that I could share it with the Thurston County DUG? Sounds like a great presentation :) Someday, I hope to make it up there to your meet ups! Thanks for considering!
Krichelle's talk on freelancing
Sounds like it would be better to have this as part of a meeting as opposed to while we are sitting around at Buckley's. Then maybe we could use our Zoom line to have others call in. It would also record it.
She mentioned she has a handout, but sounds like there is more interest.

Setting up a Freelancing Business in Washington State
Thanks for all your interest and Josh for sharing the Freelancing presentation from DrupalCon. Jeanne Cost offered to set up a Zoom line for today from 7:30-8pm in the same meeting room right after today's SEADUG meeting. That way others who cannot join us can call in and it can be recorded. I'm working on a handout that I will share as well. I hope that works to go to Buckley's a little later at 8pm tonight.
