Hi Everyone,
Let's have a Groupal Droop:
After our last NEFLIN Training several UF and ACLD folks present thought it would be good to have a meet up.
We have reserved Meeting Room A at the Headquarters Library 401 E univeristy Avenue Fourth Floor, at 6pm.
All Drupal types are welcome to meet and greet. A Laptop and Projector will be provided and there is always ample wifi and bandwidth at the Library. :)

We are working on the agenda now.
This is mostly an informal "Meet and Greet" and to work on the next steps for a regular Drupal Group meet up in Gainesville.

The suggested format for this meeting would be
Around the table introductions (who are you, what skill level are you, what are you working on, what are you looking to get out of these meetings)
We can discuss specific projects we've been working on or looking to start with Questions/Answers.
From there we should identify topics for future meetings. See if anyone is willing to present in next meeting their trials and adventures in Drupal.
Networking and discuss possible contacts in the area, etc.

I'll be there - I can talk about theming or image handling - both topics I have to present over the weekend anyway, so it'll actually help me prepare.

I was so moved by the NEFLIN training I had arranged a meeting place at FCLA for Monday. I'm glad you are in the ball! Maybe we should advertise this in the Florida group as well?

Argh, out of town Mondays are
Argh, out of town Mondays are tough because we have to be off at first light to get Lynn back to work the next morning! I hope you consider a Fri/Sat next time because we'd enjoy attending and staying overnight.
Nevertheless, on the off chance attendence becomes possible, is there any chance of someone giving us a lift from the Gainesville airport? It seems conveniently nearby. I'll check on borrowing a crew car, but that's not always possible, so a lift would be very cool because we wouldn't have to rent a car.

Big thanks to Mike Anello for helping us get organized and assigning the topics for the next 4 meet-ups. We have established the Third Thursday of each month for the Gainesville Meet-Ups.
Next Meet-up will be at Florida Center for Library Automation on 39th ave. Amanda will post the event. I have reserved the Library Headquarters Foundation room and Meeting room A for the meetings in October though Dec 2011. We can always rotate or change so stay tuned.
