Best way of importing existing phpBB forum?

i'm working on a replacement site using Drupal and phpBB3. I already have a phpBB3 forum up and running, and have around 27500 posts and over 1300 users.

I've managed to install the phpBB module, and get users to be able to log in, and post, play around etc.

I know this isnt production ready yet, and i'm just playing around, but how would I go about inserting all my existing data into this bridge? db backup and then upload it?

My Landscaping Ideas Passion and Drupal

Hi to all! I'm using Drupal 4.7.X platform on one of the landscaping ideas sites as a gardening tips section (actually, I like the easiness of using Drupal to add small articles to this section). I saw 5.2 is now available where some problems are fixed concerning security vulnerabilities.

Is it still OK if I use 4.7 or upgrading is needed?

Mike

Maintenance release of DrupalEd

Hello, all,

We have created a maintenance release of DrupalEd. This is not a security upgrade; this release only updates the existing code.

I was going to get a release together in June, but there was talk on the dev list of a possible 5.2 point release. When that release never came about, we decided to move forward with this maintenance release of DrupalEd.

Looking for suggestions about site, also upgrade gives missing blocks: table 'watchdog' was not locked with LOCK TABLES query?

Hello,
I've submitted the issue below to the regular drupal.org board, and the NYC board as well, but I'd appreciate any input on it. Beyond this, I'm looking for suggestions of how I might make my site more image-friendly and user friendly while keeping the tone appropriately serious. The production site is at www.warshooter.com, the test site I am attempting to upgrade and work on is at www.warshooter.net. Any simple tweaks or module suggestions are appreciated as I have a steep learning curve on the technical side of things.

Here's my immediate problem:

Upgrade path 4.6 to 4.7: looking for a test database

Hello flexinoders,

I am working on a new, better 4.7 release, as you may have noticed. This is the first step in preparation of a 5.x release.

For that, I am looking for real-world databases to test and develop the upgrade with.
Do you have 4.6 flexinode data lying around?

Benchmarking drupal.org upgrade

One thing I would be really interested in seeing is a benchmark suite run on the current drupal.org installation, and then again once it's upgraded to 5.0. Is this something that could be done or is being planned? It would be an underestimate of performance gains to the extent that certain performance patches are applied directly to d.o when fixed in core.

Performance upgrades from the CHANGELOG include:
