Lightning talks for next front-end meetup

Last meetup we decided to focus our next meeting on jQuery/JavaScript, specifically short talks and tutorials.

Some possible questions to answer: What are the best ways to integrate JS into Drupal? Do you have any tools, libraries, or plugins you especially like? Have you run into any particular pitfalls to watch out for? Tips or tricks?

I'd love to see a variety of levels represented, from beginner to advanced, so if you have anything you'd like to share, "sign up" in the comments!

Front-end tuning: downloading javascript files in paralell

I was looking for frontend tuning for faster page load. I found some very good technics, almost all already improved by drupal, but I can't figure out how to load javascripts in the button of the page. As you can see Javascript is loaded on the top of each page, while that happens page loading is blocked to other things like loading images, flash and also cause a gap while processing that code and restart loading the rest of the page...

I think these urls are good guides for improving front-end performance:

I was on the Aussie team, and we used Drupal as our CMS. We didn't win, but it was a great experience.

I have posted some of my thoughts here.
