Groups.Drupal Church

We released this site last year, and I've been making tweaks as I go. It's currently in process of being upgraded from D6 - D7 on my local machine. I have yet to get the sermon section down, but I wanted to get a few ideas from the community on how to make it better. I didn't design the site, someone in our church did that. I just ported his psd to a custom theme.

Is anyone using Amazon S3 to hold their sermon files that can use the swftools 1pixeloutplayer? What is the site recipe to get it working?

I have tried embedded media field using the Media: audio flotsam module with swftools for the 1pixeloutplayer on a custom content type. With this method I get fatal error. Issue http://drupal.org/node/971464

Followed all the steps included in this video podcast http://mustardseedmedia.com/podcast/episode27 I'm using all the latest modules for a Church web site here http://covenantbaptistchestertown.com/calendar. Can't seem to get all the posts to show up on the dates for which the event is happening but instead all the posts showing up on the date I created them.

What can I do to fix this problem?

I have been setting up a drupal site for our church. One item our pastor has talked about is posting a 30 day topical bible study (one for now but additional series may come). What I would like is for people to be able to sign up for the study and then receive an email each day for the next 30 days with the daily study.

The complicating factor is not everyone is going to sign up on the same day. So if you sign up Oct 15 you will be emailed study 2 on Oct 16 but if you sign up Nov 1 you will be emailed study #2 on Nov 2 ...

We have just moved our ColdFusion website to Drupal, and are in the process of building up the new site. We are taking advantage of all of Drupal’s capabilities, and have started to encounter issues of privacy and security that we have had to address before.

Does anyone have a written privacy/security policy (user registration, posting of names, phone numbers, posting and tagging of photos, etc.) that they would be willing to share with us?

We've launched our new Drupal 6 website (http://stmattumc.org) after four months of planning, organizing, building and testing. I have many years of technology experience but this was my first foray into Drupal. Our team consisted of six volunteers who meet "virtually" using Skype and Microsoft's SharedView (http://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=94). I hosted a sandbox to play in using a machine in my house that's running CentOS 5.3.

How do you send out your Small Group emails/newsletters each week?

I want our weekly emails to be sent out to our small group members AND posted on our website's front page as a News item.

I've managed to ALMOST accomplish this, but I'm not sure if I'm going the right direction… or whether CiviCRM would solve all my problems, instead.

I been working on a faith site and prayer requests is a big issue.
So, I thought to share and ask for some feedback or suggestions.
I've created a content type = prayer request
It is just a basic story content type using CCK field types
I've changed the titles of course to help users know what to do.
CCK module is needed to build other fields for personal information.
This is not on a production site yet.

Not sure if there is a module or workaround for this.

A module that will allow users to work with the database of specified users (roles,groups,etc) and create printable formatted letters on the website.

Once the letters are printed the user hand addresses envelopes and mails, via snailmail letters to the recipent/s of the letter.

This is the official first step to a future get together where we'll discuss how to more effectively use Organic Groups for interactive ministry groups on a church website.
