BRIDGE has recently embarked on a mission to raise awareness about computer science careers and degree programs in the state of Rhode Island. Despite the fact that these degrees and careers are extremely rewarding, our state’s higher ed institutions have a difficult time filling their computer science seats each year, while industry sees a perpetual need for skilled IT professionals.

There are several sessions at this conference that will be of interest to Drupal folks including A Tour of Drupal 7, How to Upgrade a Drupal 6 Site to a Drupal 7 Site, Best Practice on Moving to a CMS, User-centric Web Design, Cloud Computing.

Registration is now open for the second annual NCTech4Good Conference, http://nctech4good.org, Technology Solutions for Nonprofits, a two-day meeting that offers information, networking and social activities to staff, consultants and volunteers of North Carolina nonprofit and social service organizations.

What are the benefits from being a GTUG member?

In the year 2008, a group of Pinoy information security enthusiasts have come together and decided to put up an organization that could change the cyber security mindset of the Filipino people as well as the Philippines. Tired of attending half-cooked and very expensive security conferences, where you get nothing but a bunch of folders full of nothing but vendors and products paraphernalia, the group has decided to offer something different totally in line with the term “Cyber Security” in a real sense.

This state-wide conference's focus is how technology can advance the mission of nonprofit organizations. We are expecting about 150 technology providers and nonprofit professionals to attend.
