Asylum Seeker Resource Centre - interactive web elements
I've just been given the task of researching possibilities re some interactive web elements for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre here in Melbourne - simple training exercises and a related discussion-board. So I'm wondering if there might be a good way to find someone who would be interested in helping with this. Any advice very much appreciated...
Cheers,
John
chipin so Simon Hobbs can go to DrupalDownunder
http://simehobbs.chipin.com/simon-hobbs-to-attend-drupaldownunder
Simon Hobbs is a pillar of the Melbourne Drupal community. He organised our meetups and our first drupalcamp.
With the inevitable fall out of winding up a small biz he hasn't been able to find the cash to travel, live and register for DrupalDownunder in Brisbane next month.
I reckon it just wouldn't be the same with out Sime there? What do you think?

I (Bevan) will be in Melbourne for a while after DrupalDownunder and am keen to meet Drupal folk in Melbourne who I did not meet in Brisbane or who did not go to DrupalDownunder.
I am thinking casual drinks and chat after work and maybe dinner for those who want it. I am hoping that someone recommending a good venue. I will be near Point Cook, but I assume downtown is most accessible to most people.

Webdev Warehouse - to keep open or not?
Hey all
I'm at the point where I'm just about to close the warehouse due to lack of use. I've been paying the rent of $2000/month since opening and made very little money back. Most of you have seen the place at one time or another or have visited the website (http://webdevwarehouse.com) so you probably know what it's all about.

Melbourne Christmas Dinner
With Christmas coming up fast, I thought it would be nice for the Drupal community in Melbourne and surrounding areas to get together and have a Christmas dinner/BBQ/lunch/what ever else we can think about.
I know we haven't done this before and since the Drupal community is starting to get a bit of traction here in Melbourne and even the rest of Australia I thought it would be good for us to do something outside the usual meetups. Also there are a lot of us who are contractors or small businesses so this will most likely be thought of as our company Christmas party.
