Which module set is the best/most promising for building a social network on Drupal?
Site question/advice
I created a social network site for Horror fans called Fiendster.net. I'm not much of a developer so I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to take a look at it and tell me if I'm at least on the right track. I'm also open to any suggestions for improvement. Thank you for any help.

This is just a quick note to let you all know I have created a new project to support the APIs provided by Google as part of the OpenSocial Project. Of course, this is all brand new, so we're not exactly sure how it's going to work with Drupal, but I'm definitely interested in getting you all onboard!

I would be very interested in a workshop session at DrupalCon on relationships. I think there are many people working in this area, and I would really like to know where we all are.
I have been building some "social mapping" sites over the last year, and have many lessons to share. (http://nm-x.com and http://www.l-atlas.net are some examples) I would also like to perhaps find a group to collaborate on actually building the relationship api we have been talking about for who knows how long.
I registered a drupalcon session. Maybe, we can get it scheduled and have a chat ?

Greetings fellow Drupallers!
I began working on OpenMusic, a social network that aims at letting fans help music artists. By giving appropriate roles to its fans - thus getting them involved - an artist can build a network of valuable friends where each can provide a service to help the artist.
Social Networks: MyBlogLog
I've found MyBlogLog to be a useful tool for promoting a site and gaining new sources of site visitors.
I've created a MyBlogLog module to simplify the task of adding MyBlogLog support to a Drupal-based site. You can check it out here:

If you have any experience with MyBlogLog and building site traffic, let's talk about it here!

Hi everybody,
While making my research about Drupal profile solutions, I was pointed to the following site:
http://www.goingon.com
I was shocked after surfing the site. This site is powered by Drupal and it's amazing! WOW!!!
I want that our BB project will have such full featured profile like in goingon.com. Does anyone have any clue which profile module this site is using? What are the other modules of that site?
Thanks and have a nice day.

The goal here is to quickly implement some new features in Drupal (www.drupal.org) These modules will be of use to many nonprofit organizations, and in particular will help kick start the League of Technical Voters web interface. The League of Technical Voters is an organization based on the idea that geeks, who are not often politically active, can be a powerful force for change for the better. These tools will be used to help bring politicians, geeks, and the media together in an effective manner.
