If I click on the "my subscription" link in a group that I formed, I'm presented with a message that says:
"You may not unsubscribe from this group because you are its owner. A site administrator can assign ownership to another user and then you can unsubscribe."
Well, I'm also the site administrator, and I've been stumbling around looking for where I can supposedly accomplish this ownership reassignment for quite a while now ... and no luck so far.
Where does this functionality actually live?

2015 Note
Since this is the only real thing I got linked to searching and things have naturally changed, I figured I would document how it is done now.
If you look at the Membership List (tab on the group membership page) it has a link to create an admin (if you have permissions).

So helpful
This was very helpful, but what would be even better is to change the message that drupal gives you from
to something like:
Would this be a good way to do it or should we link away to a help page. This seems like a pretty key OG function that is pretty buried in the UI.
Found the answer
Stumbled around some more and discovered that the answer is:
While logged in as the administrator, go to groups list page (/og).
Click on the subscriber count next to the group you wish to change.
Click the "edit group" link next to the name of the group manager.
Open the Authoring Information section of the group's node edit page.
Change the author name to the name of the new group manager. (The new manager must be a registered user of the site but need not already be subscribed to the group.)
Submit the change.
