Hey Drupalistas!
We are just a few blinks away from the DrupalCamp Munich 2016 (31.11.-02.12.2016 CodeSprints @ Burda Media // 03.12.-04.12.2016 DrupalCamp @LMU Munich). As you know, this is our 2nd Camp after the great (and 1st) DrupalDevDays in 2010, and we think we will be great hosts again.
So, it's your part to submit your session prosposals until 14th of november and to be part of the special spirit of a camp with friends, Drupal, PHP, Symfony, beer, a lot of socializing, food, another beer, coffee, code sprints, very special welcome-bags, ...
We are thankful of our sponsors so we have a special prizing for students and WWCode. Please contact us for further information.
We look forward to seeing you at DrupalCamp Munich 2016 and to drinking a mug or two of "Gluhwein" or bavarian beer together.
Greetings from our Team

Following on from the conversation at https://groups.drupal.org/node/471318, we're going to have a meetup in Cardiff at some point in July.
If anyone wants to put themselves forward for a talk (45 minutes - 1 hour maximum) that would be great, and to discuss how we get a regular scheduled event going again.

Just wondering whether there are still any regular (or irregular!) Cardiff meetups anymore, or whether people are just going to the Bristol one instead?
Read moreSprints?
After feeling inspired by the sprints at DrupalCon LA, and following on from the thoughts of mixing up the group activities, would anyone be interested in attending regular sprints in Bristol? Maybe one Saturday or a weekend a month?
I'd certainly be willing to provide some mentoring for new contributors, as well as helping out if anyone wants to do any work on Drupal.org itself or the conference organising distribution.
If people are interested, would any companies be willing to give us some space or provide lunch etc?

Usual Drupal social at the Llandoger for beers and Drupal/tech discussions, all are welcome.
I can't make this one, but a couple of good things to discuss would be:
- DrupalCamp Bristol - who's attending and submitting sessions?
- Talk night in June? It's been a while since our last talk night (June 2014), so it might be good to do another one before the Camp? I'd like to see these more regularly (once a quarter, or more?)
- Sprints?
April social meetup, DrupalCamp update, PHPSW discussion
Usual Drupal social at the Llandoger for beers and Drupal/tech discussions, all are welcome.
A couple of other things that it would be good to discuss:
- Joint talk night with PHPSW (in June?)
- DrupalCamp Bristol update
DrupalCamp Bristol 2015
Business day on Friday 3rd July, and sessions and sprints on Saturday 4th July. Tickets for both are available from http://2015.drupalcampbristol.co.uk.

We have no organised meal but expect we will be grazing off of suitable local food venues later.
Early start in Llandogger Trow, moving on a little later as desired.
Comments etc. welcome below.
Communication channels: initially via twitter @drupalbristol for stragglers to catch up but expect we will come up with one or more others ways to let latecomers know when and where we are.

We talked about "branching out" SWDUG at one of the previous Cardiff meetings, and with a potential Swansea-based contingent, I thought about running meetups in Swansea also, a la the South Wales Linux group with meetups in Cardiff and Carmarthen.
There seems to be some interest on Twitter, so I thought that I'd start a discussion here.
The Cardiff ones are currently on a 3 month schedule, so the next one would be in February, so maybe a Swansea meetup in January as long as it doesn't conflict with anything else?
Discuss. :)

Notes from August meetup
Hello!
I said I'd post these after the last meetup, and so I am! A little bit late perhaps, but here they are...
A list of possible things we could do (other than listen to talks) together:
- Challenge - publish a Drupal challenge and get people to submit answers/solutions on the day at the venue.
- Bring along a problem and test the knowledge of the group. Can we fix it? Yes we can! (Hopefully...)
- Strange, wonderful and different uses of Drupal. Showcase some bizarre stuff.
- Bad examples of Drupal and great examples of Drupal.
Drupal Camp Bristol 2015 volunteer intros
Drupal Camp Bristol will take a lot of organising and require help and contribution at many different levels.
It has just kicked of here: https://groups.drupal.org/node/446078 and here: https://trello.com/b/QBuupC0W/general# big thanks to all those who are already starting to help and to those who already started the investigation over the last few weeks.

We are hoping to start up the discussion around a Drupal Camp for Bristol and the West at the next social this Wednesday.
This post is just a holding place for initial subsequent comments, links, etc. I will do my best to take some notes from the meetup and post them here.
I guess rough planned timings, possible venues etc. will be the first thoughts, it looks like some thought has already started on this :)
Watch this space.....
