To help develop a comunity of drupal employers, workers and job seekers. I saw no group that existed, to help people who live in Minnesota. So I create this group, to help add to our support and help grow Drupal within Minnesota.
Thank You.

There is a hack-a-thon going on this weekend dealing specifically with geodata. Here is an opportunity to give back to the community using your tech skills. I plan to participate and would love to see other Drupalers attend.
I'm proposed a project, which I'm hoping will give me the opportunity to learn about accessing and creating public API's.

Hey Minnesota Drupal Group,
(first post to this group) I have a question to get your opinions on which is better etc. My partner and I (LLC) have a company that is primarily based on this drupal site and the capabilities it has mainly with organic groups and such. Its hosted on my local server that i have full control over.
Im looking to get some direction that some of you have used in the past when looking for local firms, or contractors to add to a project for developing, theming, and building within drupal. Also how much does the average drupal developer cost around here.
Drupal 8 Release Party - Discussion
As many of you know, we now have an official release date for Drupal 8. It's currently scheduled for November 19th and folks (all over the world) are getting ready to party!
https://groups.drupal.org/node/487993
Some folks in the Twin Cities (especially Chris Weber) are anxious to plan our own Twin Cities Drupal 8 release party - and preliminary preparations are already underway. But, we'd like to hear from the community:
1) How big should we make this? Will you be coming? Is this something that you might want to invite friends and/or clients to?

Our first Drupal 8 Play Date went so well, we've scheduled another (and are considering even more, if there is sufficient interest).
November 7th will mark the one-month anniversary of the first official Release Candidate for Drupal 8.
It's time to start experimenting with Drupal 8, porting modules, and finding bugs that need to be fixed before the official release.
This will be a great opportunity for beginners and advanced coders alike to get an introduction to Drupal 8 and start setting up a site of their own.

Drupal 8 is almost ready! For a few moments (last week), we were down to only 3 critical issues. Since then the number has bumped back up into the teens. But with DrupalCon Barcelona coming next week, the chances are very good that we'll see some significant movement - with a release candidate in the very near future!
Let's celebrate by having a hands-on PLAY DATE with DRUPAL EIGHT.
This will be a great opportunity for beginners and advanced coders alike to get an introduction to Drupal 8 and start setting up a site of their own.
