I am a proponent of the Palo Alto Green Energy and Compost Initiative. The effort is to show local leadership toward building environmentally sustainable waste and energy management. We have a grass roots campaign - I was hoping to tap some help from the Drupal community.
We need to migrate a website at www.pagreenenergy.org to a new Drupal site. I am boning up on Drupal, but my focus is on content. I have a Drupal install now complete at Dreamhost (staging.pagreenenergy.org), but is only a basic install.
Is there a collaborator in the local Drupal community that could coach, help with architecture. We could cover expenses, but we are all volunteers at this point.
I hope the Drupal platform to help in basic campaign functionality, but also to engage the community in their environment they live.
Even in this post, if you can suggest themes that we might consider as a starting point - thank you. Are there community organizing Drupal deployments that you could point us to study?
