R&D Site data collection, collation

I'm currently working on an R&D site and starting to jot down issues in a google doc, just wondering how this is going to collected and collated and perhaps if there's a format we should follow, or is the plan just to hold the descriptions in the wiki and look over the sites once they are up and running?

At least for the time being, I think posting notes in this thread and chatting about what we're finding will be sufficient. If enough demo sites get underway it will probably be worth splitting things out into discovery/discussion chunks...
