Hello Drupalers,
LonDUG (The London Ontario Drupal Users Group) is now on Meetup! Please join the LonDUG group on Meetup to RSVP for our next event and stay informed of upcoming LonDUG events.
No meetup in March...
Hi everyone. Martin asked me to pull together the March meet-up this Thursday, but unfortunately I won't be able to attend myself.
My gut feeling is to cancel this month's meeting, unless someone else wants to jump in with a topic, and then reboot the LonDUG for the April meeting with a fresh topic and shout-out to the membership.
Thoughts and comments on this? Keen volunteers? Alternative plans?
Cheers;
Dan

Zend Certification for Drupal Professionals
Hi Ontario Drupalers;
I'm considering studying up and taking the Zend PHP (ZCE) Certification courses and writing the exam, both as a way to learn PHP at a more serious level, and as a useful certification to have for career purposes. (See: http://www.zend.com/services/certification/)

It's that time again! As discussed all the way back in September, our next meeting will be a discussion about ecommerce options in Drupal, particularly Ubercart but feel free to share other experiences. We'll also talk about payment processing and shipping options, as they pertain to those of us in the Great White North.
Finally, we had strong representation from the Forest City at last month's DrupalCamp Toronto, so let's have a shared download about the experience.
I hope you can make it out, it promises to be a good session!

Oct Meetup?
Hello all,
The first Thursday in October is fast approaching, so I thought I would take the pulse of the London Drupal community. Does everyone want to meet, with just a week before the Toronto Drupal Camp?
If you have the opportunity, I'd strongly advise anyone reading this to attend Drupal Camp. I know the ones I have attending in previous years have had a wealth of informative presentation suited to a variety of skill levels, and it's a great chance to run elbows with some people who are very active in the Drupal community. Registration is open at:
Read moreDrupal Galleries
As a follow up to our earlier session on Views, we'll discuss the options available for setting up galleries in Drupal (including a couple that don't use Views at all). Please join us if you'd like to learn more or even if you're willing to share your experiences.
As usual, the our meeting will be held at the Poacher's Arms, and we'll return to previous meeting time of 6:30pm on Thursday, Sept 2.

Hey everyone, it's almost that time again. Our next scheduled meetup is just a week away.
Does anyone have any burning issues they'd like to discuss? We could do a case study if anyone has a recent project they'd like to brag about.
One other possible topic would be Views add-ons, as a follow-up to our sessions about Views earlier this summer. I've recently spent some time with Calendar and Draggable Views, but I've also talked to people using Semantic Views and a variety of gallery and scroller modules.
Share your thoughts on a good topic, and we'll see you in September!

For our August meeting, local Drupal enthusiast Anthony Vella-Zarb will be sharing his experience using the Blueprint CSS framework with Drupal, and hopefully diwwin will have some insight on how we can all Git with Drupal.
There should be plenty of time for an open forum, so if there's anything you want to discuss there should be opportunity.

June Waterloo group meeting: Filedepot
The original post is here:

When it was discussed at last week's London meeting, it seemed like there was significant interest. We should definitely plan to carpool, please respond to this this thread if you'd like to attend.
Read moreViews and Panels
For our June meeting we're fortunate to have a guest speaker, Khalid Baheyeldin of 2bits. Khalid will be here to enlighten us on Views, with some additional discussion about its companion, Panels. In addition to talking about the core features of Views and its uses, we'll talk about the performance impacts of Views, and even look at what's ahead in Views 3 (the version that will support Drupdal 7). It should be an enlightening talk to Drupal users of every level. Hope to see you there!

With the proximity to this weekend's Podcamp, it probably makes most sense to forego this evening's regularly scheduled Drupal meetup.
It's been a while since we convened, however, so we try and treat our next meeting, June 3, as a certainty. Anyone have any topics they'd like to discuss?

Hey everyone,
The first Thursday of April happens to fall on April Fools Day, but in all seriousness there are a couple of good reasons to skip the meeting:
First off, that night marks the conclusion of London Tech Week, which will conclude with a free Community Mixer:
http://www.techalliance.ca/london-tech-week-community-mixer
Also, as it happens that night is the start of the long weekend, and with the good weather it's easy to imagine plenty of people will be making their way far afield (or maybe starting to hide chocolate eggs).
