What better place to discuss these key questions than Munich! TYPO3 is the leading cms in Germany.
I've proposed a session on making the move from TYPO3 to Drupal - http://munich2012.drupal.org/program/sessions/making-move-typo3-drupal

The session would focus on the migration strategies and the Drupal equivalents of some key TYPO3 features.
