Howdy California Higher Education people,

Last week, http://www.drupalcalifornia.com came up for domain renewal. As part of my progress towards stepping away from higher-ed and into the non-profit sector, I decided to be proactive about seeking interested people to take over some work I had been doing to strengthen the role of Drupal in California's Higher Education. I'd like to continue this by offering over DrupalCalifornia.com to a higher education professional who is interested in hosting it. If any of you are interested, just post here and I'll go ahead and register the site for another year, and then transfer the DNS to point at your server and send you the Drupal install + database.

I think the site served several needs well, one of which was just helping me learn how to do some neat things with Drupal, but mostly to show off the wonderful work of California Higher Ed folks across the state using Drupal in many interesting capacities. Thank you to everyone who submitted your site. Though I sometimes fell behind, in general I kept it up to date as new sites were submitted, and it became a great showcase for what we can do, helping to even make some decisions to move to Drupal. Plus, it made for the basis of an excellent talk at the SF DUG way back at the end of 2010, in which I showed off the capabilities of Drupal 7 and helped push people to move on to it.

Keep on rocking Drupal everyone.
