About Google+ Pages "Google+ pages interact in the Google+ world similar to the way that regular Google+ profile owners do - they can add people to circles, edit their profile, share things in Google+, +1 comments and photos, and create and join Hangouts. But they’re not entirely the same. Learn about how pages and profiles are different."
About Facebook Pages "Facebook Pages help businesses, organizations and brands share their stories and connect with people. Like Pages you're interested in to get updates about their activity"
What is a Facebook Page?
"... Similar to profiles (timelines), Pages can be enhanced with applications that help the entity communicate and engage with their audiences, and capture new audiences virally through friend recommendations, News Feed stories, Facebook events, and beyond.
You can create and manage a Facebook Page for your organization from your personal account. Click here to begin. Please note that only the official representative of an organization, business, celebrity, or band is permitted to create a Page."
So how could be possible in Drupal registered users with specific Profile and Role to create similar "thing" (page, node, object) like FB/G+ Pages so he could manage - add photos, videos, status, relationships, switch to it (so he could interact as a normal user with another users and other "pages"(objects) - and all the activity of that "thing" (page, node, object) to be tracked (activity, heartbeat).
I think the easiest way to do that is that page to be a subuser (of some kind). Subuser module combined with Auto Assign Role , Profile2, Content_Profile and bunch of other contrib modules and giving the right permissions and roles for user and subuser. I'm trying this with D6 (didn't manage to run the D7 version). The one thing that I'm facing is when you create subuser you have to add username, password, email (required form fields). Can this fields be replaced/removed and add user without them?
In D7 with the help of Entity API, Can you create an Entity Type - "Brand Page" and that type to inherit $user global and acts like a user? - I'm speaking theoretically (don't have drupal/php programming skills).
