CSU Bakersfield has retained a web design firm to redo our site. They are proposing that we use a customized Drupal implementation. Some on campus are not in favor of going with an open-source solution and are instead interested in exploring Hannon Hill's product - I believe it's because several other CSUs are using Hannon Hill, and they feel we will get better support, training, etc, etc. I'm wondering if anyone can chime in on either product and if anyone has used either for their entire university/college site. What are the pros and cons to each?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Drupal++
We are in the middle of moving SJSU SLIS site to Drupal from a file-based system. This is a classic case of committing to a never-ending cost sink versus building an internal {you and your technical staff} resource. On the one hand if you go with the purchased system, you will always have to pay them to get the latest, best and most secure versions: this is the essence of the software as service model. If you use Drupal you will be able to develop internal strengths for enhancement/development {your own people become the experts on the system} and the software itself is free. IMHO, it's a no-brainer.
