I am an amateur photographer trying to set up a website.
I have been messing around with WAMP just to see if I could get something working before I buy hosting and go live.
I had some high hopes for Open Enterprise with their Apps feature but the apps I want don't work and their support seems to be lacking somewhat. I'm no programmer (I know a little bit here and there but not enough to be useful) so I can't make it work on my own.
I want my site to have the normal pages. Home page with a cool logo and a new feed, about page that talks about me and my photography hobby, jobs/gigs page to advertise for models for shoots and of course a portfolio page.
Most of this is fairly simple stuff using drupal 7.x. The trouble I am running into is with the port page.
I want a gallery of galleries so to speak. Basically, I want a list view of gallery types (casual, fashion, swimwear, nature, architecture etc.) When you click on a category, it takes you to a gallery of shoots sorted by date, model name, location etc. When you click on those links it would take you into the gallery itself.
For the individual galleries, I want the users to click on an image and have it overlay the page with controls to move through the images. The users can then simple click the X to close the gallery and return to the page of galleries.
I have been able to make the galleries work mostly how I want them to but I can't seem to make a top level categories page work.
Any thoughts?
