There are two (count 'em, two!) sessions related to using Backbon and JS MVC's with Drupal in the proposed session list: Building Awesome Web Applications with Drupal + Backbone.js & Backbone.js in the Frontend.

Building Awesome Web Applications with Drupal + Backbone.js will cover the full stack of Drupal/Backbone web app development, detailing the architecture of apps built on the Drupal Backbone module, how to implement a solid REST(ish) JSON API to drive the client code, the basics of the client-side application MVC development, and many related topics/

Backbone.js in the Frontend is going to focus on the front-end aspects of JavaScript application development with Drupal. How to use Backbone as a client-side framework to implement powerful UX, implement compelling interfaces and make use of the full spectrum of new browser technologies to innovate.

Hopefully both these sessions will get accepted so we can really get into the details of how great web apps can be built with Drupal, across all components of the stack.
