Hi,

I have Drupal 7 running on Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and MSSQL 2008.

I am wanting to use drupal to replace a legacy application that runs on an Oracle Database.

I have copied over a specific table from Oracle to another database on the same MSSQL server as Drupal is connected to.

I now want/need to move circa 320,000 articles from that table and create them as nodes within Drupal.

I can do it by exporting bitesized chunks, circa 5000 rows, at a time as CSV files then using Feeds to import them. It is working but with 320,000 rows to import it is a very long winded and manual process.

So, is there a better way. Standing back and looking at the problem all I'm trying to do is copy a bunch of rows from one database and import them into another database on the same server. I know that the Drupal database schema isn't as simple as that, but does anyone have a smarter way of tackling this issue?
