Sorry, forgot to create the matching g.d.o. event for the IRC meeting that was scheduled via Meetup. But most folks probably got the notice via Meetup.

Anyway, here's the chat log for this month's planning meeting:

[14:00] <shibby> it's 2pm, do you know where your TriDUG drupalers are?
[14:00] * CGMonroe Notices meeting reminder flashing
[14:00] <CGMonroe> Hey all
[14:00] <paulthed> howdy
[14:01] <CGMonroe> So who's here for TriDUG planning
[14:01] * enewby raises hand
[14:01] * shibby raises hand
[14:01] <enewby> haha
[14:01] * SteveCory waves
[14:01] * paulthed raises hand
[14:02] <CGMonroe> and Barb is lurking... lol
[14:03] <CGMonroe> Planning for Monday's meetup should be quick
[14:03] <CGMonroe> Barb got Diane H to agree to do a Responsive Theming presentation for us
[14:04] <CGMonroe> (She did one for UNCs group I think)
[14:04] <enewby> cool
[14:04] <shibby> saweet
[14:04] * SteveCory sat front row for that :)
[14:04] <enewby> SteveCory: verdict?
[14:05] <SteveCory> lots of info, in a short amount of time
[14:05] <CGMonroe> I've got a not out to Kendall T who said she's done a lot with this to see if she'd do a case study.
[14:05] <SteveCory> Her demo was well done
[14:05] <CGMonroe> Steve - How long was the presentation?
[14:05] <SteveCory> 47mins
[14:05] <dmp1ce> I'm here as well. A little late.
[14:06] <CGMonroe> You sure it wasn't 47.5 minutes?
[14:06] <SteveCory> :)
[14:06] <babs> I'm doing too many things at once!
[14:06] <babs> :-)
[14:06] <CGMonroe> So, here's the plan:
[14:07] <SteveCory> dmp1ce is David Parrish
[14:07] <babs> Diana Woodhouse - she's all set for Monday if we would like her to present
[14:07] <CGMonroe> 7:10-8:10ish Diana
[14:07] <SteveCory> Barb? How long was her talk at the CTC Retreat
[14:08] <CGMonroe> 8:10ish - 9:00 Either a case study or Round Table on Responsive themeing, etc.
[14:08] <CGMonroe> 2nd part depends if Kendall will do a case study
[14:09] <CGMonroe> Or does anyone else know about RT / have an RT site to showcase?
[14:10] * CGMonroe Thinks that is NO
[14:10] <CGMonroe> Barb - Obviously the answer to Diane doing her presentation is yes...lol
[14:10] <babs> She had lots to show - about 45 minutes at the retreat. She's going to refocus it a bit to be less UNC specific.
[14:11] <babs> So an hour would be good. And maybe after talk about some best practices.
[14:11] <CGMonroe> In case people didn't know, Kendall T works for Media..something and the last Durham meet up talked about knowing a lot about RT
[14:12] <babs> It would be great if Andrea was there too to talk about themes she's used - she's using the Adaptive theme. Others are using Omega and Fusion.....
[14:12] <CGMonroe> She's RSVP yes, so we'll have at least 2 "experts"
[14:13] <paulthed> that sounds good to me
[14:13] <babs> cool
[14:13] <CGMonroe> Andrea Ross?
[14:13] <babs> yes
[14:13] <babs> SteveCory can chime in too methinks!
[14:14] <SteveCory> I'm lookin at some stuff in the Drupal Watchdog Vol 2
[14:14] <SteveCory> I can make some copies and bring that
[14:15] <CGMonroe> Would you do a case study thing/ quick here's some stuff I know pres?
[14:15] <SteveCory> Any Buddy else subscribe to that?
[14:16] <CGMonroe> Hadn't seen that mag
[14:16] <shibby> me neither
[14:16] <paulthed> I got the first edition at DC Charlotte. Was good
[14:17] <SteveCory> Probably be the best I can contribute
[14:18] <CGMonroe> K - just trying to make sure we don't have
[14:18] <CGMonroe> dead air during the meeting...lol
[14:18] <SteveCory> It's a grid showing feature comparisons for D6 & D7
[14:19] <SteveCory> Has there ever been dead air at an triDUG meeting?
[14:19] * SteveCory scratches his bald spot
[14:19] <CGMonroe> Only once... but the whole meeting was "bring your problems"
[14:19] <SteveCory> LOL!
[14:19] <babs> Heh - nobody had "problems" eh?
[14:20] <CGMonroe> we solved them all too quickly...lol
[14:20] <shibby> random: anyone heard from Allen lately?
[14:20] <SteveCory> Not when there's that many cooks in the kitchen
[14:20] <babs> [warning - buddhist interjection - nirvana had been reached!]
[14:20] * CGMonroe oo mani pah
[14:20] <CGMonroe> re allen - No, he RSVPed for the last Durham meeting but didn't show
[14:21] <dmp1ce> I haven't heard from Allen in over a year, but he did refer some work my way which was very nice of him.
[14:21] <CGMonroe> Any other business? I know the Barbs got the co-working scheduled
[14:21] <dmp1ce> My guess is he is busy with work and family.
[14:21] <shibby> just curious. I know that kids are quite the game changer :)
[14:22] <shibby> CGMonroe, I'm looking for some Ruby on Rails folks who might want to work on a volunteer project
[14:22] <CGMonroe> Julia said she was working with him at JacksonRiver now
[14:23] <shibby> so if anyone know anyone...here are some details about the project: https://trianglewiki.org/Raleigh_Adopta_App
[14:23] <SteveCory> http://drupal.org/profile/profile_current_company_organization/Jackson%2...
[14:23] <dmp1ce> shibby: I can pass that information to a friend. He is a Ruby dev.
[14:23] <shibby> it's totally not Drupal related
[14:23] <shibby> thanks dmp1ce
[14:24] <CGMonroe> Erik anything on next month or DC?
[14:24] <CGMonroe> Hey shibby, did you talk to the folks who handled money for your Raliegh Camp thing?
[14:25] <shibby> CGMonroe, about potential drupal camp?
[14:25] <CGMonroe> Yeah
[14:25] <shibby> i don't think it's a big deal to be the fiscal agent for that. I'll double check and follow-up via email CGMonroe
[14:25] <CGMonroe> thanks
[14:25] * deekayen (~deekayen@drupal.org/user/972/view) has joined #drupal-nc
[14:25] <SteveCory> This is a MONDAY Meeting and not a WEDNESDAY Meeting
[14:26] <CGMonroe> Yes - Jersey Boys is playing all month
[14:26] <SteveCory> please . . . make a note of it :)
[14:26] <CGMonroe> Yeah, I'll re-stress that when I update the adgenda
[14:27] * SteveCory winks
[14:27] <CGMonroe> Figured doing it on Monday was better than forcing folks to pay $4 for parking around here...lol
[14:28] <CGMonroe> When DPAC/Bulls are open the city tries to double it's revenue...sigh
[14:29] <CGMonroe> Re: Drupal Camp - Only thing I've done is to find the name of the Drupal instructure at Wake Tech... haven't contacted him yet.
[14:29] <CGMonroe> Might be a way to get Wake Tech space
[14:32] <CGMonroe> Looks like we're done... thanks for coming
[14:32] <CGMonroe> Steve - If you can bring a copy of the mag to the meetup, I can make copies here.
[14:32] * babs (~babs@cpe-107-015-131-105.nc.res.rr.com) has left #drupal-nc
[14:33] <SteveCory> Okay, I'll make about 20 here too
[14:33] <CGMonroe> Kewl... nice to have handouts...lol
