Let Chapter Three help you level up your Theme Development Skills
The perfect continuation of Level up your Themer: Baby Bosses, or our other Theme Development workshops, in Level up your Themer: Bigger Bosses we dive into a whole host of techniques to tackle any theming challenge. This course is also ideally suited to folks who have already taken any of our Theme Development workshops in the past.
We start the day focusing on changing the output of our theme through views templates, form_alter functions and eventually simple jQuery. We spend a portion of the middle of the day discussing panels and blocks, creating panel layouts from scratch, and integrating views with panels. we will wrap up the day with special topics, including responsive layouts and other techniques for mobile development. You will leave the workshop with a large arsenal of potent tools that any veteran theme developer has at their disposal and the confidence to deploy them.

• Lvl7: Altering forms: Using hook_form_alter to modify various Drupal-y forms
• Lvl8: Intermediate Panels: Content-aware content, view panes
• Lvl9: Panels Layouts: Creating custom and intellegent panels layouts from scratch
• Lvl10: jQuery: Integrating libraries, learning the basics
• Lvl11: Go with the flow: Making Your Theme Responsive, Flexible, Adaptive, etc
Prerequisites
Proficiency in HTML and CSS (and you shouldn’t be afraid of a little PHP). Familiarity with Drupal terms such as nodes, blocks, CCK, Views. Experience with Drupal configuration and use of contributed modules/themes is helpful for understanding the concepts of theme development.
What to bring
Yourself and your laptop. The training site is equipped with power and internet access.
