Why are people posting job ads in this group?

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Why are people posting job ads in this group? I've seen three posted today which strike me as off-topic in a group whose aims are to collect training materials and talk about apprenticeships.

There is a Drupal Jobs group where you can post job notices. http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-jobs

I've noticed this as well. I've moved the job postings into the 'Drupal Jobs' group. Maybe it's because it's the first in the list of new groups, or maybe people are confused by the group? I'll update the main page to try and make what this group is about clearer

I'd just like to say that this is a great (group) initiative & I'm glad it exists!

Regarding the off-topic job posts, well at least we know what companies/recruiting firms don't like to read/respect group guidelines. ;)

People might be like "Wow", where else can we find other groups of Drupal for job posting like this. The name of the group is fairly coinciding with related to Jobs, so people might see it that way.

Same like others I came here to post job ads but thanks anyway for providing with the correct job posting page. Help appreciated!
