Ohio gathering?

jeffschuler's picture

Can we crosspost this to all Ohio groups and get a get-together together?

I thought I did cross post

mradcliffe's picture

I thought I did cross post it. Oh, maybe I forgot to add SE and Dayton?

Edit: I know I made multiple selections while I was creating the node, but I think it lost those selections when I previewed. That's happened to me before.

I'm going

+1 Jeff for all Ohio groups going. Might be cool if there was an Ohio sprint. It would have to be early on Fri though. I don't know about you guys but I couldn't get any later flights home than 1pm, so Friday is pretty much shot for me.

Same here, I wanted to stay

OldAccount's picture

Same here, I wanted to stay for more of the sprint (it'll be my first) but I have to fly home at 2pm. :(

I'll be there!

I live in Oberlin, but will be driving up from San Francisco. :)

I'm In!

ccorbett's picture

I will be there - attending DrupalCon for the first time. I'm certainly game for any Ohio get together.

I'm arriving on Sunday and leaving on Saturday. I wanted to stick around on Friday for the Community Tools Workshop and Getting Involved With Core Sprint since I'm still relatively new. A couple hours at Powells Books is on the agenda as well =)

Staying at the Hilton Doubletree for the duration.

Awesome! There were about 100+ first-time core sprinters in Munich and lots of mentors available.

I always seem to schedule things incorrectly and miss the sprints, but not this time! Drupal has me for all Friday.

I'll be at DrupalCon Portland

I'll be going. I'm arriving late Sunday and leaving early Friday.

I'll be there

And there are 4-5 other OSU-ers going.

Room-sharing?

jeffschuler's picture

I haven't gotten my accommodations yet. :)
Anyone staying at the DoubleTree or other nearby hotel that has another bed and is looking for a roomie?

Check this out, Jeff. . . .

If it's still available, this is from a colleague from my own town:

I am attending the New Relic ~ Pantheon event after the day of sessions. Is anyone else going to this event?

Yes I'll go to that also --

pzula's picture

Yes I'll go to that also -- but you can still go to dinner & make it to the party. Let's do dinner at 6:30. (Party is on til 11)

This place has both vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options.
Anyone object to Thai?

Dinner at 6:30pm.

Eck, travel time is loong

pzula's picture

The time on public transit to get there is 43 min... Probably should look elsewhere.

The Loving Hut - 19 min away on transit

pzula's picture

Another vegan/GF friendly place -- the Loving Hut

This one is only 19 min away from the conference center, and has cheaper entrees

Ding ding ding! This is the one. I'm calling it.

Or 6:45 or 7?

jeffschuler's picture

Well, we've been publicizing 6:30pm, but the last session ends at 6 and it takes 20 or 25 minutes to get to Loving Cup there by transit... What do you all think about making it 6:45 or 7?

Let's say 7. If people get

pzula's picture

Let's say 7. If people get there early, they can just have a drink :)

thx pzula

Let's meet at the tables across from Portland Brewing Company cafe (in convention center) after the last session to travel to dinner together. :)

finding each other

evadale's picture

Where is the Brewing company cafe? Is that the coffee place downstairs?

It's the cafe upstairs iirc.
