If no one has anything, I could go over the Privatemsg module. It uses entities in D7 and has a patch for Views integration.

Due to our host's health issues :( (https://groups.drupal.org/node/309978), we will need to figure out what is happening for Tuesday. Murias is going to check in with Nextspace.
Murias - please post here when you find out if we have someone to host us Tuesday night.

Yes, there's a projector. You connect to it over the wifi and it shows your screen. It doesn't show your cursor, so you can't point at stuff with it. (I've resorted to selecting text to highlight it.

On a pedantic note, I was dismayed to learn that yaml files are column sensitive. Between this and SASS files, I wonder if we've forgotten how bad an idea this is.
Doesn't anybody remember... assembler language? Fortran? Cobol? RPG? Column sensitive languages don't mix with error prone people. With those acient languages, at least you could program the keypunch with a drum card and skip to the right columns. (Yes, I really am that old.)

The newer dialect of SASS
The newer dialect of SASS isn't indentation based. It's bracket based.
Also, most editors will handle indentation of YAML automatically, so you don't have to worry about it :)

I will, indeed, do my best not to worry about it. ;-)
It's just that some of my background is in compilers, and so to watch PHP gradually improve over the last decade, only just very recently to become a modern language of the late 1980s, and then to see SASS, it's like watching history being repeated.
It is fortunate that we can choose to write in SCSS instead of SASS. I can still recall that there were a lot of people that didn't see why goto was a bad idea, and I actually worked for a company that had an internal fight over whether an OS could be built in an implementation language like C or if it had to be done in assembler for performance and size reasons. It's easy to look back at that and smile, but people quit over that decision.
Hmm, I wonder if history is repeating itself that way, too.

First off, Sass, and Yaml have nothing to do with PHP.
Second off, these formats are indentation sensitive, as Cameron pointed out, not column sensitive.
Your comparison is like comparing Fortran to Python. The two are wholly unrelated. The problem with the languages referenced is indeed column sensitivity. For instance, nowhere does it say that in a Yaml file column one represents a comment, columns 1-5 represent a label, column six is for continuation, etc.
Finally, your last anecdote about assembler vs. C has nothing to do with syntax.

My overall point was that the web world moves very fast and, in that haste, seems to sometimes miss some of the lessons and models that have been hashed over in the past. It was the discussion at the SCDUG on Tuesday, where this small detail about YAML pierced my consciousness, that triggered these thoughts.
It's a great thing that the SASS developers have provided SCSS, that PHP now has a workable object model and that Drupal is moving to that model (among many other advances we heard about on Tuesday).
As I said previously, I will do my best not to worry about it. :-)
