Sprint

Hi Drupalcyclistas!

Tour de Drupal is about cycling to Drupalcon Amsterdam as a group. The initiative was formed after DrupalCon Prague and people from several European countries and even from the States have expressed their interest in setting up a cycling team.

-- Coding --

What started off as a one-day sprint idea is now going to be an exciting weekend full of Drupal, Cycling and Camping! Get ready for a weekend of Sprinting on the new Tour de Drupal website and working on organising the UK to NL leg. The plan is for the website to be a central place where other teams/countries can publish their plans, post updates and we're also working on some other cool features.

-- Cycling --

During the weekend we will venture out on our bicycles and ride a few local cycle routes through the Somerset Countryside in preparation of the real ride.

To keep our carbon footprint to a minimum we will pitch tents at a nearby campsite.

-- Contributing --

If you'd like to contribute by coding, help out with organising or just want to join us to have a good time cycling and camping then please do let us know you're coming by signing up!

-- Venue --

We will be working from The Studio (coworking venue) in Langport, TA10 9SJ Somerset (UK)

-- Accommodation --

The nearest campsite Bowdens Crest is located approximately 1 mile from The Studio. Bowdens Crest offers beautiful views over the Somerset Levels, has a bar/restaurant and is very affordable.
Other accommodation in the local area is published on The Studio's website here.

-- Join us --

If you'd like to join us for our Sprint weekend in Somerset then there are only three things you need to bring: 1) laptop 2) bicycle 3) tent Oh, and possibly a toothbrush and some clean clothes :)
