- Live attendees: chx, mikeryan, ryan weal, benjy, bdone
Current areas of focus
-
Core patch
- Issue: Migrate in Core: Drupal 6 to Drupal 8
- We are looking for someone to review it (Mike Ryan, perhaps), as it is very large and lots of people are already busy squashing beta-blockers.
-
Drupal 7-8 migration
- review the D6->D7 update to see what changes we need to account for in D6->D8
- chx will review and open new issues
-
User Interface
- Issue: Upgrade UI
- Mike Ryan is working on this, he's getting close to the point where he'd like to commit it to the sandbox.
-
User Interface demo (Mike Ryan)
- Configuration and content working from the UI
- File migration not yet working - will probably have to be two separate migrations, public and private files.
- User enters source DB and file info
- Currently, there are two main steps: import configurtion and import content
- Still need feedback on how to present migration feedback to user. How much feedback? Should we use watchdog or the existing migrate messages tables to log feedback? Should we provide a link to a view displaying migration-related dblogs? What kind of feedback should be given during a successful migration? We want to be careful about not providing too much or too little feedback. Lots of usability things to figure out here.
-
Manual testing (Drupal 6->8)
- Mike Ryan and ultimike is working on this
- Issue: Link (and other field) modules may need per field type processing
- Issue: Profile data issue
-
Multilingual
- appears to be progressing, but no report during the hangout
Other Topics covered during the call:
-
Loss of eliza411 - she's no longer involved in Migrate in Core :(
-
Updated Drush integration
- bdone asking about how we can add "limit" functionality
