The topic for Drupalcafé May is set on continuous integration. We expect to discuss various points of attention concerning governance in ongoing development (and maintenance), the merging of decentralized development activities with the main production version and the use of tooling to support that. Speakers will be Tom Missaar and Niels van Mourik.

Tom Missaar worked as a Drupal specialist in many large development teams and on complex projects. He will give a presentation about the basic practices of Continuous Integration and he wil showcase a real project. Tom would also invite everyone to discuss questions like;

is CI of value to all Drupal projects?
how to develop a Drupal project with CI?
what do you need for CI?

After a short break we hope to see Niels van Mourik of Acquia Cloud (still to be confirmed) give a presentation about Acquia Cloud in general and how this service can play a role in supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment during projects and service.

This session is most interesting for Drupal developers that do Drupal development in teams of developers and / or in situations where different parties do different tasks, such as development vs maintenance. We expect the programme for this evening will be;

17.00 doors open
17.45 presentation #1 : Tom Missaar
18.15 break
18.30 presentation #2: Niels van Mourik (Acquia Cloud)
19.00 drinks
20.00 end

Location: One Shoe, Janskerkhof 16, 3512 BM UTRECHT
