In a couple of weeks, 2degrees in Summertown will kindly host the second Sustainability Hackday ("SusHack"). I was wondering if a Drupaler or two might like to join me for the day!

My local volunteer organization Sustainable Witney helps conduct thermal imaging of people's houses. It's been doing this for two successful years now, and there are other groups in Oxfordshire (and maybe even beyond?) that do it as well.

The sticking-point for our group is always the administration of it all: incoming comms, processing and tracking when someone's had their house imaged, ensuring their images have been uploaded somewhere safe, and informing them of the meeting where they can come and find out more from experts.

I'm looking to build a Drupal-powered website to track this flow of comms. There'll be more ideas on the day but it needs to have a reasonable workflow and be friendly for members of the public and low-experienced users. I'd love to involve tech developers, frontenders and designers, and maybe do something nicer than just "fill in this webform, thanks"!

If you're interested, sign up! You can either sign up as they say via Github, or - if you'd prefer - just let me know and I'll add you.

By the way, the first Sushack was a runaway success, spawning the Oxford Flood Network, which is still evolving and has run several field tests since. So I really hope to get something from this hack day that local groups can put to good use!
