Drupal 8 is getting closer and closer to release, come and join us at the Currumbin RSL for a code sprint to help get it over the line!
In this 3 hour session we'll be working through Drupal core "novice" issue(s) as a group in order to get everyone up-to-speed on the Drupal core workflow. It'll help if you're setup with a local dev environment, Git, Dreditor (https://dreditor.org/) and a update copy of Drupal 8.x. If you're not familiar with these tools please come along and learn how they work. Also feel free to BYO Drupal 8.x issue that you're working on.
The RSL has free WiFi and food and drink is available for purchase.

Nice to see everyone
We had a good meetup and sprint last night, nice to see new and old faces coming along.
We talked through the core issue processes and spent most of our time getting our hands dirty assessing and implementing a fix for Users could not find the Change password fields. We've polished up a patch and it's ready for review. It's a humble beginning, but hopefully a few more of us are familiar with the core processes. We look forward to another sprint where we can start moving into more advance topics such as automated test.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the next Gold Coast meetup mid month.
