Drupal is well-known for its ability to manage content. The out-of-the-box functionality provided by Drupal can allow you to rapidly whip up a demo, proof of concept, or even a fully-functional website. An overview of building Drupal's Content types, Entities and Fields in Drupal will begin our program.
Will Long (kerasai) will present on more advanced concepts and best practices for extending contrib functionality and leveraging Drupal's API. He will show how selectively leveraging Drupal’s APIs can allow you to attain the necessary customization while also setting up the project for success down the road. Presenting a fresh take on data and content modeling, collection, and rendering with Drupal. It will also highlight functionality found in contrib that can be used or extended upon. Although this session is intended to suggest better practices for site builders, most of the techniques require coding, examples provided.
