Normally, our events are audio-only discussions, but this month we had online demonstrations of four nonprofit-oriented Drupal platforms: OpenOutreach, OpenAid, Campaignion and AbleOrganizer. We recommend checking out the video above!

OpenOutreach, Nedjo Rogers
- Maintained by Chocolate Lily.
- Like other Drupal distributions, is organized into a collection of optional "features" (components) that you can pick and choose from to make your site.
- Detailed documentation available, including a customizable word document that you can adapt to your own organization's needs. See http://openoutreach.org/section/using-open-outreach.
- Contains features common to nonprofit sites — blog, event, media, social, etc.
- Used by somewhere over 300 sites
- Focus is on meeting the basic web needs of small, activist and community organizations, reducing barriers and working "out of the box" for most needs, while still being easily extensible for customizations.
- Common uses:

- "Light" integration of RedHen CRM, focused on enabling organizations to manage individual and organizational contacts.

- Integration with CRM Core allows you not only to maintain contact records but for it to be integrated with Drupal — i.e. see content created by a contact, expose an activity stream, etc.
- Very flexible interface using Panels — one of the benefits over integrating with something like Salesforce, which is harder to customize.
- Lots of reports on all kinds of parts of your organization — donations, supporters, advocacy, and more. For instance, what days and times do people donate the most? What's the most common donation amount? All forms are customizable through drag-and-drop form builder.
- Integrated event registration, including ticket sales.
Engage (not on the call)
- Currently focused on Canadian decision-makers, but still in development and will become more generalized.
- Includes a petition system including a "goal" with built-in tracking of how close you are to that goal.
- We're hoping to have Mike Gifford, one of the developers, on a future call.
