Florida DrupalCamp 2015 Venue Requirements

This document is designed to be provided to potential venues who wish to be considered as the location for Florida DrupalCamp 2015.

Description of the event

A two-day open-source software conference focused on training sessions and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Single auditorium-style room that can hold 300-350 attendees for opening/closing session and keynote.
  • 4-6 classrooms that can hold between 30-60 attendees. Ideally, one of the classrooms will be able to hold at least 60 attendees.
  • One large area (or multiple smaller areas) for 300-350 attendees to eat catered (boxed or buffet-style) lunch.
  • Common area appropriate for attendee check-in and 6-10 sponsor tables.
  • Greater Orlando area.
  • Audio-visual equipment in auditorium and classrooms that allow speakers to connect their laptops via a VGA connector to an existing overhead projector/screen system.
  • PA system in large rooms for speakers.
  • WiFi in all rooms.
  • Easy and plentiful access to power in all classrooms and auditorium.

Possible dates

  • A saturday/sunday in February or March, 2015.
  • Saturday is our "big" day, when we'll required the auditorium and 4-6 classrooms. Approximately 7am-7pm.
  • Sunday is a much smaller day, will require access to common area(s) and 3-4 classrooms only. Approximately 8am-5pm.

Bonus features

  • On-site venue or in close proximity to a 3rd party venue for an after conference party on Saturday evening.
  • Nearby, reasonably-priced hotel rooms (less than $125/night).
  • On-site catering (continental breakfast, full lunch, afternoon snacks, and drinks throughout the day).
