Greetings fellow Drupalists!

After the great fun and success of our September Code Sprint, we're again hosting a Drupal 8 Core Code Sprint at Forum One's office space in downtown DC.

Come meet other coders, enjoy some delicious pizza, beer and soda, and get ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to Drupal 8 core. (And while you're at it, feel free to check out our sweet office space!)
Our local developers will be on hand to guide, mentor, and participate in the fun.

If you're a developer interested in contributing to Drupal Core, please RSVP* today and join us for our second Drupal code sprint!

*Security in the building requires pre-registration and a photo ID at your time of arrival. So don't forget to RSVP!

Never been to a Code Sprint? Here's what it's all about:

What is it? A code sprint is when developers get together and write code. There's minor instruction and some ad hoc mentoring, but mainly the focus is just uniting great developers and hammering out code together. That's all there is to it!

Why should I attend? Because you want to contribute to Drupal! It gives purpose to being part of this unique community, and it helps further the mission of open-source by serving tons of people.

How will this event work? Our developers are going to pre-select issues from the issue queue for participants to work on during this code sprint. So don't worry about researching issues on your own.

How do I prepare for this event? There are three things you must do before attending a code sprint.

  1. You must bring your own laptop (computers will NOT be provided)

  2. Before you arrive, set up the Drupal 8 environment on your laptop by installing Acquia Dev Desktop, or installing on your local environment (without MAMP).

  3. Also make sure to install Git and install Drush.
