About The Speaker

A previous-life librarian, Alejandro Garza moved recently from Mexico to Boston to work at Acquia. Married to his wonderful Erika with two kids who had always dreamt of snow but had never seen it. Worked at the Tecnologico de Monterrey university for just over 17 years, doing random stuff like setting up the first library webserver in Mexico (on an Amiga computer of all things), doing 3D animation, managing a campus MTV-like channel and afterwards got to blend his curious range of interests into doing neat stuff at his workplace, and later at Acquia Support specializing in Search.
