Welcome to the Seattle Users' Group!
This is a geographic Drupal User Group meant primarily for planning local Drupal related events and meetups, and supporting users locally.
SeaDUG meets regularly (at least once a month officially) to talk about Drupal, to plan Drupal events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
There is also an online front-end meeting that takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at noon Pacific Time. It's not always posted here, but information about it can be found in the front-enders channel in the SeaDUG Slack workspace.
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area will be promptly removed.
July In-Person Social Gathering
This month, because the weather is warm and no-one wants to attend yet another online meeting, we'll meet up in person at the outdoor beer garden at Optimism Brewing in Capitol Hill (https://g.page/OptimismBrewing). This will be the first in-person SeaDUG meeting since February 2020!

SeaDUG Front-End Online Meeting (11/30/21)
At our last front-end meeting two weeks ago, we talked about linting and enforcing coding standards for files in Drupal themes and other front-end files, and strategies for integrating with IDEs. At today's meeting, we'll talk a bit more about that topic and then take a look at a relatively new feature in NPM called "workspaces," which allows for better management of Node dependencies in a theme. We'll also discuss Tailwind version 3 and how to employ its just-in-time mode to reduce the CSS in a project to just what's needed.
