Welcome to the Seattle Users' Group!
This is a geographic Drupal User Group meant primarily for planning local Drupal related events and meetups, and supporting users locally.
SeaDUG meets regularly (at least once a month officially) to talk about Drupal, to plan Drupal events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
There is also an online front-end meeting that takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at noon Pacific Time. It's not always posted here, but information about it can be found in the front-enders channel in the SeaDUG Slack workspace.
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area will be promptly removed.
On what day should the SeaDUG holiday gathering be?

In today's meeting, let's talk about image styles in Drupal. Bring your questions or ideas. I'd like to discuss image derivatives and the itok
image token—how it works, why it's useful, and how to disable it on a site if necessary. I will also solicit some ideas about how to support image styles when integrating with an external image host.

SeaDUG Front-End Online Meeting (8/13/19)
Today we'll be looking at my work in progress with the USWDS theme: https://designsystem.digital.gov/
I'm using the USWDS Base Drupal theme: https://www.drupal.org/project/uswds_base
USWDS is a design system for government websites. It's created to provide a consistent and high quality experience that's quick and easy to implement. This helps lower the barrier to upgrading old platforms and making government services and information more accessible.
I'll share what I learned about using this system to design and develop a new theme for the Forest Service.

Mike Keran did the original Drupal setup and maintenance of behavenet.com. I hope to find someone in the Puget Sound Area to help maintain the site. Priority initially will be to implement a backlog of updates.
