Monthly Hangout Higher Ed groups interested in Hosting Our Own Drupal (HOOD)

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

The Higher Ed Summit at DrupalCon was a great opportunity for a few members of our team from CU Boulder to talk with other schools who also host their own Drupal infrastructure. The hosting needs of universities and colleges are often very similar... but like our end users, we tend to think our Drupal distribution and configuration is a special snowflake. I've learned a lot listening and sharing hosting war stories with other higher ed Drupalers this week. It has been both informative and cathartic.

Unfortunately DrupalCon only happens once a year in North America. To help keep the conversation happening between DrupalCons, I've been talking with some of the people who are here in LA about meeting once a month via Google Hangout to continue sharing information about different, hosting related topics. If you are interested in participating, send me a message using my Drupal.org contact form and I'll add you to the list. The first messages to the list will just be to find a days/times that the most people are available. Then we can start throwing out ideas of what people want more information about and/or things they are doing well they'd like to share.
