  1. Presentation: How Drupal is enabling Next Generation Science teachers to influence 1,000 California high school students in 2015 - Tristan Peery

Do you have or know children aged K-12 in California public schools? As of 2015 their education is heavily impacted by the curriculum changes of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. The improvements these programs will bring to children’s education will blow the doors off their classrooms but teaching and developing curricula to these new standards is challenging and daunting for teachers. It's a steep-learning-curve-change that requires teachers to grow and adapt as much as students.

The Drupal-powered lesson-building web-tool showcased in this presentation is live and actively influencing high-school biology classrooms in the region through a model-based approach to teaching Natural Selection. Come see how the modules Panelizer, Radix Layouts, Field Collection, Field Collection Node Clone, Entity Reference, Content Access, Field Permissions, Node Clone, Print, Full Calendar, and Workbench form like Voltron to defend the science education of California.
