Hi all, the Transmission network (http://transmission.cc) has just completed a full proposal to the Knight News Challenge, for a video-focused 'Transmission Drupal Distribution': http://tinyurl.com/txknightdrupal. If we get the $, we will do an open consultation process with Transmission network partners and the Drupal community to determine the modules we will fund development of. We are proposing to use the Knight funds for the following:
* consult across the Transmission network and the Drupal community to develop a best practice Videosharing site in D7, ensure all necessary modules make it to D7, and release this as a distribution
* video feed aggregation module
* module for browser based video subtitling
* module to easily display videos on openstreetmaps
* formal usability testing
