ICC is currently reinforcing its staff at the Vienna based Headquarters. We are looking for a motivated part time IT Assistant and Drupal Expert.

ICC - the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology is the pre-eminent international association in the field of cereal science and technology, committed to international cooperation through the dissemination of knowledge, conducting research, and developing standard methods that contribute to innovation, improved food quality, food safety and food security for the health and well-being of all people. Founded in 1955, ICC is an independent, internationally recognized organisation; ICC is a non-political, non-profit-making, neutral forum for food scientists and technologists active in the area of cereals and general food safety research, the development, validation and standardisation of food safety analytical methods across all foods, advising numerous governments inside and outside the EU, being part of working groups in CEN and ISO, and maintaining consultancy status to the WHO, FAO, and UNIDO in agricultural, food safety and food security matters.

Job description:

Assist the ICC IT manager in porting websites from Drupal 6 to 7 using the Migrate module and creating new sites in Drupal 7, as well as in other IT related tasks such as maintenance of Linux servers and the internal network.

Required skills:

  • Excellent proficiency of English and German in writing and speaking.
  • Experience in Linux server administration via SSH, especially in CentOS 6/7 or equivalent for secure Web hosting.
  • Knowledge of PHP (5.4+) and MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Own PHP code should be written cleanly.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining websites with Drupal 6 and 7, focussed on larger sites with role-based access. In particular, good knowledge in creating user-friendly node types with fields using Field modules and displaying content of the resulting nodes via tables generated by Views modules.
  • Preference in using open-source software and standards compliant technologies on the Web, including HTML5.
  • Ability to work flawlessly and independently on Windows (7+) work stations.
  • Team player: harmonic work in international/intercultural teams.

Salary:

The announced job is a part-time position (~ 5h/week) and paid according to experience up to 400 € per month (14 times a year) with 25 annual leave days.

Location:

Workplace is ICC Headquarters in the centre of Vienna.

Preferred education/experience and evidences:

  • Completion of A-levels/HTL.
  • Practical experience in Drupal 7 website development.
  • Link to at least one website that the candidate has built on Drupal 7 is an advantage.

Preferred start date:

As soon as possible.
