We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

There is a hack-a-thon going on this weekend dealing specifically with geodata. Here is an opportunity to give back to the community using your tech skills. I plan to participate and would love to see other Drupalers attend.

I'm proposed a project, which I'm hoping will give me the opportunity to learn about accessing and creating public API's.

Event is free, but space is limited (and running out).
